Meet The Coordinators

Katie Challberg
Special Education Coordinator

Katie serves multiple roles for the New Prague Area Schools. She works as a Special Education Teacher at the Middle School, serves as a Behavior Consultant for New Prague Area Schools, and serves as the Special Education Coordinator for New Prague Middle School.

Katie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education - Emotional Behavioral Disorders from St. Cloud State University and additionally holds a license in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Katie is beginning her 10th year of employment in New Prague Area Schools and 15th overall in education.

Katie and her husband, Curt live west of New Prague with their two children Gabriel and Dominic.


Kim Isley

Kim Isley is the Special Education Coordinator for the High School, Eagle View Elementary, Raven Stream Elementary, and Holy Cross as well as the contact for NP students at Southwest Metro Educational Cooperative.

Kim has a BS in Communication Disorders, and holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Kim has been teaching in the field of special education for since 1997 and has been with New Prague Area Schools since 2003.

Kim lives in New Prague with her husband Kory, 7th grade science teacher at NPMS, and three children; Brooklynn, Bennett and Brody.


Angie Pahl

Angie serves a dual role for the New Prague Area Schools. She works as a Speech-Language Pathologist in our Early Childhood Special Education program. She also serves as the Special Education Coordinator for ECSE and St. Wenceslaus School.

Angie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders from St. Cloud State University and Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. In addition, she holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She began her employment at New Prague Area Schools in 2007 as a Speech Language Pathologist in the Early Childhood Special Education program and at St. Wenceslaus.

She lives south of New Prague with her husband, two children, and dog. She likes to walk, read, and garden when she is not at school.
